Detachable Monopod
The most prominent feature is the Monopod function. By simply unscrewing a leg from the tripod you have a handy, super-light and portable monopod. The tripod head can then be attached to the monopod, which gives you the functionality of a ball head as well as the quick release of your camera when required. A monopod is ideal when maximum manoeuvrability is required, like moving within crowds. It assists in stability when shooting, allowing for lower shutter speeds on long focal length lenses. A monopod also helps to relieve the weight of larger, heavy lenses.

28mm Aluminium Ball Head
This photo tripod is supplied with a solid 28mm ball head machined from aluminium alloy and anodised in K&F's signature orange. A ball head is ideal when you need to frame up a shot quickly; you can free the head, make the adjustments, and then lock your camera in that position with little effort. This ball head can handle a 10kg camera load, which is more than most camera setups weigh. The head has a fluid-head action making for a smooth 360-degree pan for panoramic shots, with degree markings on the head for an accurate pan, useful for landscape photography. The built-in spirit level on the ball head helps with getting your camera perfectly horizontal when required.

Quick Release Plates
The KF09.089 comes with an extra quick release base plate, meaning 2 x camera plates are included. This is useful when shooting with multiple camera bodies, wanting to mount a light on the tripod, or simply keeping a spare plate in your camera bag. The base plate can slide forwards or backwards to assist with better camera balance, but is designed so it cannot slide completely out, protecting your camera from falling.

Aluminium Alloy Legs
The aluminium alloy legs have 4 sections, extended through quick release clips for fast height adjustment. With the dual-stage extendable centre column, a twist lock raises the camera to a maximum height of 170cm. The legs open out to give a well-supported and stable shooting platform. The push clip at the top of each leg allows a quick adjustment between 3 footprint settings. The legs can also open wide, which allows the camera to get very low, close to the ground. This is handy when shooting landscapes with low foreground or a reflection in a pond. The centre column is also invertible, allowing the camera to get just millimetres off the ground for extreme low-level or macro shots. At the base of the column is a hook for attaching a sandbag to keep gear stable in windy or unstable conditions. With all these features, the tripod still folds down to a compact carry length of only 44cm. The padded carry bag and padded shoulder strap make it easy to transport.
